  2. FS FKEY Installer Read Me

  4. FS-ATC version 2.0 is designed to have a “communication button”, key combination COMMAND-SHIFT-8,  to simulate dialog between pilot and air traffic controller.
  5.  
  6. FKEY resource is a short program that must be installed to Microsoft Flight Simulator application. 
  7.  
  8. This small installer copies the FKEY-resource to Microsoft Flight Simulator application.
  9.  
  10. To use the installer
  11.  
  12. • You must have system 7.0 or later 
  13. • You must unlock Microsoft Flight Simulator from "Get Info" window in Finder. It is locked by default.
  14. •    Virus detection software will notice this operation, it's best to turn them off.
  15. • Microsoft Flight Simulator must not be in use when you install.

  19. 1. Open “FS FKEY INSTALLER” application
  20. 2. Read the warnings.
  21. 3. Select ”Microsoft Flight Simulator” from open files dialog.

  23. When the installation is done, the installer tells whether the installation was succesful or failed. If it failed, read instructions once more and try again.

  25. ••• WARNING FOR USERS WHO USE BOTH SYSTEM 6 AND 7 •••

  27. IF YOU USE MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR WITH THIS FKEY INSTALLED UNDER SYSTEM 6 PRESSING COMMAND-SHIFT-8 WILL CRASH THE MACHINE.

  29. The FKEY uses routines that require system 7.0 or higher and it doesn't check whether System 7.x is present.
